WASHINGTON - Playboy Enterprises Group Inc. last week said the Supreme Court's ruling in an Internet-indecency case invalidated a law requiring cable operators to scramble or time-shift adult cable channels. Playboy, which is seeking to overturn the scrambling law, said in a court filing that the high court in June voided the Communications Decency Act partly on the grounds that the meaning of the term "indecent" communications was too vague.

Playboy said because the same vague indecency standard was applied in the scrambling law, the law is no longer valid, and it should be struck down.
