Time Warner wants RCN license revoked. (Time Warner Cable; RCN Corp.)

WASHINGTON - Time Warner Cable is seeking federal revocation of an open-video system license held by RCN Corp. and its utility partner to serve Boston and 47 area communities with video programming. In a recent complaint filed with the Federal Communications Commission, Time Warner accused RCN of filing false information with the agency on its OVS application with regard to the system's channel capacity.

Time Warner said RCN promised the FCC that it would build a 330-channel analog platform, but it later told regulators in Sudbury, Mass., that the system's capacity would not exceed 110 channels.
