ATLANTA - American Movie Classics has licensed 300 movie titles through deals with Columbia/TriStar Television Distribution, Paramount Domestic Television and MGM Domestic Television Distribution. Among the Paramount titles are John Wayne's True Grit and The Shootist (his final film) and Elvis Presley's Blue Hawaii.
The Columbia contract covers such films as Lawrence of Arabia and On the Waterfront, while MGM's includes Twelve Angry Men and The Manchurian Candidate. Also, AMC sister networks Bravo, The Independent Film Channel and World Cinema have signed a 75-film agreement with MGM. Bravo's films include such titles as Six Degrees of Separation and Little Man Tate. IFC's bounty includes 1 Shot Andy Warhol and The Madness of King George.
