Hammer's Up at Sci Fi Channel.(Brief Article)

NEW YORK -- Bonnie Hammer has been promoted to the newly created position of general manager of Sci Fi Channel, officials said last week. Hammer, most recently senior vice president of Sci Fi programming and USA Original Productions, will also hold the title of executive vice president.
In her new job, Hammer will oversee all facets of Sci Fi's business, including programming, marketing, ad sales and licensing. The new GM slot was created as part of USA Networks Inc.'s increasing focus on the independent growth and success of Sci Fi, officials said.
