USA Buys Database-Management Firm.(Brief Article)

USA Networks Inc. has agreed to buy Precision Response Corp. -- a Miami-based company that provides teleservices, database management and fulfillment for several large and small clients -- in a stock swap valued at about $608 million. USA will integrate PRO into its USA Electronic Commerce and Services division after the deal closes, expected in June.

As part of that division, PRC will combine its teleservices operations with those of Home Shopping Network and Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch Inc.
