NEW YORK -- Sci Fi Channel has acquired the rights to the Emmy-winning science fiction series Babylon 5, officials said last week. The series will be added to Sci Fi's lineup starting this September, with its 112 one -hour episodes to be stripped Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. The deal also includes four full-length movies based on the series.

Sci Fi bought the rights, reportedly for $12 million, to Babylon 5 from Warner Bros. Domestic Pay-TV, Cable & Network Features.
