Siemens, Terayon Team Up On IP-Backbone Solutions.(Terayon Communication Systems)(Brief Article)

SANTA CLARA, CALIF. -- Terayon Communication Systems Inc. and Siemens Atea said last week that they signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop and supply backbone Internet-protocol solutions to provide enhanced, added-value voice and data services with end-to-end quality-of-service capabilities to ensure the highest level of performance.
They will target small office/ home office, small-to-medium enterprise and corporate-network customers. Siemens customers worldwide will deploy Terayon's "HighLink" routers, which can provide bandwidth-management, traffic-prioritization, security, virtual-private-networking and routing capabilities.
