STAMFORD, CONN. -- Time Warner Cable will launch 24-hour local news channels in Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C., according to officials. The MSO, which already has five local-news services, expects its North Carolina networks to begin operations by late 2001. Time Warner also recently unveiled its plans to create local news channels in Houston and San Antonio, Texas, in partnership with Dallas-based Belo.
