Before Christmas, I drove to my local Circuit City store and bought a TiVo Inc. personal video recorder. I bought it because I'm tired of waiting for interactive TV to arrive and because I wanted to see what all the PVR hype was about. As you probably know, PVRs include a hard drive, and that fact is producing both intrigue and concern in every industry that's involved in television.
