If the ad-sales market doesn't recover, A&E Television Networks executive vice president of sales and marketing Ron Schneier just might be able to fall back on a second career as a blues and classic-rock guitarist. Schneier's musical high point came at A&E's recent upfront pitch in Chicago, when he played guitar with California rock singer/songwriter Michael McDonald during rehearsal -- and was invited to join the band during the evening performance.
