SONlCblue Revs Up Replay TV PVRs.(new personal video recorder)(Brief Article)

Armed with technology from newly acquired ReplayTV Inc., SONICblue Inc. has plunged into the personal video recorder game with a box line-up that can record up to 320 hours of Internet-protocol video, ship files around a home network and even exchange files with other Internet users. SONICblue is targeting its new Replay TV 4000 line of boxes to higher-end broad-band users with home networks.
But the biggest hurdle may be price: Units range from $699 to just shy of $2,000. The four boxes, available beginning in November under the ReplayTV brand, can record programs without commercials, ship IP MPEG2 video between ReplayTV receivers and PCs in a broadband home network and send and receive video files over the Internet, all with no monthly subscription...
