NEW YORK -- There was a changing of the ad-sales guard at three cable networks late last week, as replacements were named for A&E Television Networks' Ron Schneier and Court TV's Gig Barton. Schneier, who's leaving AETN as of March 31, has been executive vice president of sales and marketing since March 2000 and served as senior vice president of sales before that.
Schneier, who has plans to enter the independent film business, will be succeeded by AETN executive vice president Whitney Goit. Current Oxygen Media senior vice president of sponsorship Charlie Collier will replace Barton, who was Court TV's executive vice president of ad sales, in January, the network announced on Friday.
