For a myriad of reasons, the race to install digital cable has slowed down, as some MSOs, like Comcast Corp., have reported a downtick in fourth-quarter growth. Comcast reported 213,000 new digital-video installations for the period, compared to 243,000 in the third quarter. And for different reasons, Cablevision Systems Corp.
