Sci Fi to run 'Dead Zone' episodes. (This Just In).(Sci Fi Channel to air program already running on USA Networks)(Brief Article)
Multichannel News, July, 2002
NEW YORK -- Sci Fi Channel will telecast episodes of sister service USA Network's Dead Zone beginning July 12, according to sources. The quasi-repurposing deal -- through which Sci Fi will not show Dead Zone episodes days after their premiere on USA, but rather begin with the series' debut installment -- marks the first time a cable channel has aired another network's series during its initial run, sources said.
The June 16 premiere of Dead Zone, based on a Stephen King novel, set a record for an original series bow with a 4.7 household rating.
