SAN DIEGO -- Cox Business Services will be going light by using Nortel Networks Inc.'s optical Ethernet product to beef up its high-speed data service, virtual local area network and other metro services for enterprise customers here. The Cox Communications Inc. subsidiary will deploy Nortel's OPTera Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) Ethernet platform to deliver 10- and 100-megabit-per-second connections, in addition to traditional voice services.
