Vivendi imposes hiring freeze: USA exec. (This Just In).(Brief Article)

NEW YORK--Vivendi Universal Entertainment has imposed an indefinite hiring freeze, according to USA Networks president of network distribution and affiliate relations Douglas Holloway. Speaking Nov. 14 at a NAMIC New York chapter panel discussion on the effects of industry consolidation on minority hiring, Holloway said Universal--which oversees USA Network, Sci-Fi Channel and Trio, among other cable entities--is under a hiring freeze within all of its divisions.
He declined to give further details.
