ATLANTA -- Scientific-Atlanta Inc. said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Friday that it has received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Justice for the Eastern District of Missouri to submit documents in connection with its marketing support arrangement with Charter Communications Inc.
Charter announced in August that it was the subject of a grand jury investigation concerning its methods of counting subscribers and certain accounting issues. In its 10-Q quarterly financial filing with the SEC on Feb. 7, Scientific-Atlanta said it received the subpoena in January. S-A said it is cooperating with the investigation.
