BRISTOL, CONN. -- ESPN has promoted Christine Godleski to vice president and general manager of ESPN Outdoors. Godleski succeeds Michael Rooney, who last month was named senior VP of advertising sales and marketing for ESPN Branded Media. Godleski, who had been serving as director for the past two years, now has oversight for all aspects of the company's outdoors initiative, including Bass Anglers Sportsmen's Society, the worldwide authority on bass fishing; the ESPN Great Outdoor Games; and more than 1,400 hours of outdoor TV programming.

In her old job, she had been responsible for the daily operations of ESPN Outdoors, including events, radio, publishing and Internet
