ENGLEWOOD, COLO, -- Starz Encore Group and Comcast Corp. said they plan to kick off a broad marketing campaign touting Starz on Demand and Starz? HD later this month. Plans call for broadcast and cross-channel spots to run through the summer, as well as complementary print and direct-mail efforts.
The campaign is tied to an out-of-court settlement and carriage deal Comcast reached with Starz Encore in September, a source said. Comcast and Starz Encore didn't disclose how much money would be spent on the marketing campaign, which will focus on markets where the Philadelphia-based MSO has launched video-on-demand service.
