S-A adds backup help.(Scientific-Atlanta Inc.)(Brief Article)

ATLANTA -- Scientific-Atlanta Inc. has added an automated backup feature to its SciCare Broadband Services product line. The new operational support system solution is for S-A's Digital Network Control System. S-A said the backup system is completely digital, making it faster, more reliable and less expensive that traditional tapes.
The system enables operators to evaluate system and backup status at all times, manage backups with greater accuracy and precision, protect systems using remotely stored backups and minimize system and service outage time.
