ST. Louis -- Charter Communications Inc. is moving its corporate marketing department, with 18 positions, from Denver back to its headquarters city, where new CEO Neil Smit works; a chief marketing officer also will be based there once that position is filled.
As part of the shift--rumored for weeks and reported elsewhere last week--all department members have been offered the chance to relocate. Most had been in St. Louis before those functions moved to Denver under former CEO Carl Vogel, who lives in Denver and kept an office there, said senior vice president of communications David Andersen. The transfer, he said, is expected to be completed by year-end.
