By Linda Haugsted Cable Gets Behind Consumer Desires For Electronic Toys Electronics - including high-definition TV sets, upgraded DVD players and MP3 players - will account for about one-quarter of all gifts purchased this holiday season, according to projections by the Consumer Electronics Association.

With all those new devices flowing into homes, telecommunications providers are mulling marketing and informational campaigns to convince buyers to maximize the power of that purchase with new products and services from the local cable operator. According to Sean Wargo, directory of industry analysis for CEA, consumers are confident about the economy, so they're going into the holiday buying season with a 'one for you, one for me' mindset....
