By Linda Moss How FX Keeps Advertisers On Board When Its Shows Are Under Attack At News Corp.'s annual shareholder meeting last month, chairman Rupert Murdoch got an earful. A media watchdog group complained about "the disgusting and depraved content" on Nip/Tuck , which runs on Murdoch's cable network FX, and some of its other shows.

"News Corp. has clearly carved out a niche for itself by specializing in smutty, vulgar and violent entertainment all in the pursuit of profit: You should be ashamed," Leon Weil, chairman of the Parents Television Council, scolded Murdoch.
