Fred Tepper is president of Argonide, a nanomaterials company he founded in 1994. After earning a B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry and Materials from New York University, he spent 40 years at the Mine Safety Appliance (MSA) Co., starting as a bench chemist and retiring (in 1996) as a group vice president embracing divisions in instruments, chemicals and specialty batteries.
