Indie units, operations change hands. (Rockies)

Reflective of the times and weeks after an area market observer said he sensed some acquisitions in the wind in the Rockies, two area independents have sold all or portions of their respective operations to other area indies.

Phoenix, Ariz.-based Pasco Petroleum, a subsidiary of financially troubled Paramount Petroleum, Los Angeles, has sold nine more of its branded retail outlets to Kaibab Industries, Inc., also a Phoenix indie. Kaibab purchased all of Pasco's Tucson self-serve pumpers, which average in size from 12 to 22 hoses.

Kaibab immediately resold two of the units to Texaco. Terms of the agreements were undisclosed.
