Older Americans Report, November, 2004
LOOKING AHEAD. At AARP's National Aging & Law conference in Washington last month, the Center for Social Gerontology agreed to serve as a clearinghouse for reauthorizing the Older Americans Act, which expires next year. The first task is to develop a listserv for stakeholders. Meanwhile, the center is providing updates at www.tcsg.org/ updatesreauth.htm.
Conference participants, including center codirectors Jim Bergman and Penny Hommel, were particularly interested in getting states to fund full-time legal service developers (OAR, Nov. 21, 2003, p. 363) and making sure legal hotlines are funded with Title III dollars. Contact: TCSG, (734) 665-1126.
