Service coordinators affiliated with senior housing programs have an opportunity to gain new skills through a partnership involving Ohio State University.
The online Professional Service Coordinator Certificate program brings together OSU and the American Association of Service Coordinators for a Web-based program of coursework on issues such as conduct and ethics, grief and coping mechanisms, substance abuse, medication use, healthy aging, Alzheimer's disease and other memory issues. Modules also have received approval from the National Association of Social Workers, as appropriate.
