Lucent Technologies completes first phase of upgrading T-Systems' global IP network.(CONTRACTS)

Lucent Technologies has completed the first phase of a project to upgrade T-Systems' global Internet Protocol (IP)/Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network with advanced IP routers. T-Systems, the business customer unit of Deutsche Telekom, chose Lucent to further enhance the capacity and functionality of its global IP/MPLS network in order to provide a comprehensive set of IP-based services to its international enterprise customers.

In the first phase of the project, recently completed, Lucent Worldwide Services deployed Juniper Networks M320 multi-service edge routing platforms in nine countries, and is providing ongoing maintenance services.
