TelCove, a provider of business-critical telecommunications services, announced that it has taken a dominant position in Florida as a statewide communications provider of metro and intercity services to enterprise customers and carriers. During 2005, TelCove grew from seven to fourteen metropolitan markets within Florida, significantly increasing its fiber density and market presence.
TelCove has a total of 1,400 route miles of optical fiber within these 14 Florida metropolitan areas, and 1,300 miles of intercity backbone optical fiber connecting these 14 Florida markets to 56 other TelCove markets throughout the eastern half of the United States.
