U.S. Bancorp selects Lucent Technologies products, services, and software for advanced optical network.(CONTRACTS)

U.S. Bancorp announced that it has selected products, services, and software from Lucent Technologies for an advanced optical network that will connect U.S. Bank operations in five cities spanning the east and west coasts, enabling fast and secure data transactions.

Under the three-year agreement, U.S. Bancorp will deploy the Lucent Metropolis DMX portfolio of metro optical networking products and VitalSuite Integrated Network Controller software, to create a high-capacity, fully redundant carrier-grade backbone network.
