Matrix chooses Tyco Telecom for undersea net between Indonesia and Singapore.(SUBMARINE)

Independent Indonesian telecommunications provider PT NAP Info Lintas Nusa and Tyco Telecommunications, a business unit of Tyco Electronics, announced the signing of a contract between NAP Singapore-based affiliate Matrix Networks and Tyco Telecommunications to construct an undersea fiber-optic system.

The network will provide connectivity between Jakarta, Batam, and Pontianak, Indonesia, and Singapore. The system will serve several Indonesian markets by providing direct access to the international telecommunications gateway.
