The e-Series of printers now includes the co.'s XML-enabled 3.0 printing capability, providing a simple and easy-to-manage interface for printing RFID and bar-code labels from the SAP[R] Auto-ID Infrastructure component to the SAP NetWeaver[R] platform. The ability to simultaneously encode this data in an RFID tag and print the bar-code label without requiring middleware is designed to save users' time and money, the co. reports. SAP NetWeaver is an integration and application platform that works with existing IT infrastructures to enable and manage change. SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure, NetWeaver's key component, provides the capabilities to integrate all automated communication and sensing devices.
