Enter the Internet address www.toys.com was launched in December 1996. Since then, toy-curious Web surfers from more than 108 different nations have stopped by to take a look around. Over 500,000 visitors had browsed its on-line catalog by March of this year. As of July, the site was recording 30-40,000 "hits" per day - all from a group with no previous toy industry experience except for a few years of advance planning and homework.
