Chambliss against farm bill extension.

Pro Farmer, October, 2005

If you thought Senate Ag Committee Chairman Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) would back a one-year extension of the 2002 Farm Act to see what comes out of the Doha Round of WTO talks, think again. He told us, "A one-year extension will open up our farm bill to WTO actions, which would be devastating via crop-by-crop attacks by other WTO members.

It would be a huge mistake." See News page 4 for highlights of our session with Chambliss and go to the Pro Farmer Member page on AgWeb.com for the full interview.
