La Nina likely to continue during next 1-3 months.

The National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center (along with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration--NOAA) sees La Nina conditions continuing at least the next one to three months. La Nina is the area of cooler-than-normal Sea Surface Temps (SSTs) along the equator in the Pacific Ocean.

La Nina's history suggests higher odds of Midwest drought--it's not a guarantee.
