Copper adhesive tape. (What's Hot).(from Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics)(Brief Article)

Product Design & Development, June, 2003

Chemlam copper tape is an adhesive tape designed to act as a replaceable non-stick surface for heat sealing units in packaging, preventing flexible packaging films from melting onto the heating element and impeding production. Featuring a layer of PTFE film over PTFE-impregnated fiberglass fabric, the tape promises to last longer and provide greater release properties than tapes that are simply coated fabrics with adhesive layers.

The tape operates at -100[degrees] to 500[degrees]F, making it suitable for both low-temperature and high-temperature processes.
