Certicom introduces security products at show.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--Certicom Corp. held its PKS 2000 show last week, a forum dedicated to mobile and wireless e-commerce security issues, and introduced several products. Certicom unveiled its MobileTrust Certificate Authority, an elliptic curve cryptography digital certificate authority, designed specifically to help protect wireless Internet transactions, as well as health care and enterprise applications.

It enables users to conduct legally binding transactions from wireless devices. A digital signature based on the certificate authority is as legally binding as an actual signature. The solution uses a version of Chrysalis-ITS' Luna CA as its hardware security module, a standard of root key protection in the wired public key infrastructure security...
