Sonera plans managed mobile Internet architecture.

OXFORD, United Kingdom--Sonera, one of Europe's more innovative mobile operators, claims it will shortly unveil a software architecture that will enable companies, or other mobile operators, to offer a fully managed Internet service. The company revealed this move as it announced the availability of its Next Generation Internet (NGI) technology designed to provide a predictable level of service to fixed clients.

The company claims that, by using its NGI technology, Internet operators can set the level of data throughput each connected user will receive.
