CEA forms group to study RF home networking obstacles.

ARLINGTON, Va.--The Consumer Electronics Association's Home Networking Committee formed a Discovery Group on RF home networking open to all interested technology developers and potential manufacturers to identify emerging obstacles to industry growth and to direct the association's work toward resolving issues and obstacles.

CEA said the group's first meeting, scheduled for Jan. 8 in Las Vegas, will identify the technological opportunities and potential obstacles presented by wireless home networks and will include discussions between participating members on engineering standards, frequency allocation and competition for bandwidth.
