LISLE, Ill.--Tellabs, a developer of echo cancellation and VQE technology, will provide Globtel, a Slovakian mobile communications operator, with a new voice-quality enhancement solution in its GSM digital wireless network. According to Tellabs, the EC Duo 8000 solution will eliminate echo from phone calls between mobile handsets.
"By using Tellabs' voice-quality enhancement solutions, Globtel win have a competitive advantage that offers its wireless subscribers out-standing call clarity," said Heikki Hiltunen, vice president and general manager for Tellabs' Europe, Middle East and Africa region. This system is an upgrade from the previous echo cancellation solution by Tellabs that Globtel used.
