Max.mobil deploys Comverse SMS solution.

WOODBURY, N.Y.-Austrian GSM operator, Max.mobil, has deployed Comverse's Intelligent Short Messaging Solution (ISMSC), thereby expanding its mobile-originated and mobile-terminated short messaging services. Comverse's ISMSC offers connectivity to the Web and SMS-based applications and has built-in readiness for Enhanced Messaging Solution, General Packet Radio Service and UMTS.

According to the company, ISMSC enables mobile network operators to keep pace with the growth in short message and mobile data traffic. Max.mobil began the deployment of the ISMSC solution with the expansion of its SMS-mobile-originated capacity.
