Arch, MSN, Motorola form partnership.

RCR Wireless News, March, 2001

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--Arch Wireless Inc., MSN, and Motorola Inc. announced an agreement to provide consumers access to MSN's Hotmail e-mail and Messenger instant-messaging communications services as well as content from MSN Mobile on Motorola's wireless two-way messaging device, the Talkabout T900.

Arch will provide the service through its nationwide two-way wireless messaging network. "E-mail and instant messaging have been the 'killer apps' on the Internet. This relationship will allow MSN users the ability to untether themselves from their PCs while retaining all of the online functionality," said Mike Pellon, vice president and general manager of wireless messaging for Motorola.
