LONDON-Although European awareness of application service providers is growing, enterprises still seem cautious to implement the services, according to a recent Frost & Sullivan survey. Of the companies surveyed, 74 percent were accurately aware of ASPs as the entity that "manages and delivers application capabilities to multiple entities from a data center across a wide area network or the Internet," said Frost & Sullivan.

"While the majority of non-ASP users do not have concrete plans for applying an ASP solution within the next two years, 23 percent said that they were likely to consider taking the plunge within this timeframe," pointed out John Gilsenan, a Frost & Sullivan research manager.
