NextWave resolution legislation introduced.

WASHINGTON--Legislation to codify the settlement deal to end the NextWave Telecom Inc. bankruptcy saga was introduced in the House of Representatives on Thursday. The Prompt Utilization of Wireless Spectrum Act of 2001 was introduced "to resolve administrative disputes regarding certain spectrum licenses," according to a copy of the language obtained by RCR Wireless News.

The bill, sponsored by Rep. Billy Tauzin (R-La.), chairman of the House Commerce Committee, is co-sponsored by three other powerful lawmakers, including the leadership of the House Judiciary Committee and Rep. Bill Thomas (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. The bill has been referred to all of these committees as well as the House Budget Committee. ...
