Wireless loses out as Senate leaves town without stimulus plan. (News).

RCR Wireless News, December, 2001

WASHINGTON--Amidst much political rancor, legislative wrangling and finger pointing, Congress adjourned on Thursday without passing an economic stimulus package that could have helped wireless carriers invest in their networks and operations. Wireless firms would have also benefited from various proposals to change the tax write-off schedule for high-tech investment purchases.
