Qualcomm signs BREW agreement with KDDI. (Late News).

Qualcomm inc. says it has signed an agreement with Japanese carrier KDDI to enable the carrier's handsets with Qualcomm's Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless technology to enhance KDDI's data services offerings. "KDDI's use of the BREW platform and gpsOne position location technology together will drive advanced location-based services, and demonstrates KDDI's commitment to offering their customers unprecedented wireless products and services," said Paul E.

Jacobs, group president, Qualcomm wireless and Internet group. KDDI said it will offer preinstalled BREW-enabled applications on Panasonic C3003P handsets through most KDDI retails outlets beginning later this month.
