Qwest Communications International Inc. is coming under increasing pressure to sell its wireless business--once an integral part of its plans to offer bundled telecommunications services to its customers--to raise much-needed capital. The company, which last month received an informal inquiry from the Securities and Exchange Commission related to financial practices over the past several years, has not officially announced plans to sell its wireless properties, but it has noted it would look at selling some of its non-core assets.
