Although industry watchers and analysts think the business model is not appealing for a bundled wireless local area network and wide area network for 2.5- and third-generation services, Voice Stream Wireless Corp. seems set to be the guinea pig. "By combining 802.11 and our existing GPRS service, customers will have access to the right technology at the right time," said VoiceStream Chief Executive Officer John Stanton in his keynote at the CTIA show recently in Orlando, Fla.
