CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--Korea will see mobile penetration reach 80 percent by 2006, according to Pyramid Research. The country already has a 62-percent mobile penetration rate, making it the fourth-densest mobile market in Asia, the market research company added. "The successful development of the Korean mobile market is the outcome of the government's concerted industrial planning, balance between competition and profitability, and operators' innovations," said Fei Li, author of a new report on the country from Pyramid.
