By all accounts, PLM, which stands for product life cycle management, will be an integral part of the wireless vocabulary in the near future. The emerging technology, which will encompass both wireless and wireline, will provide the base for such tested technologies as enterprise resource planning (ERP), supply-chain management (SCM) and customer relationship management (CRM.) PLM software allows verticals and businesses in different geographic positions to work together to design, build, manage and store products, thereby allowing such products to enjoy maximum use over their lifetimes.
